A beautiful Collings D1A Dreadnought, built in 2012, in the Varnish finish—which was very expensive at the time and is no longer available. The wood selection is classic, featuring an Adirondack spruce top and a Honduras mahogany back and sides.

In terms of sound, this dreadnought is wonderfully well-balanced and an absolute dream: great volume, plenty of dynamics, brilliant highs, and warmth in the midrange and bass.

The guitar is in very good condition, with only a few signs of wear and a few small, barely visible scratches on the top. There is a small “spot” in the finish on the back of the guitar, but it has been inspected and is not a cause for concern. The guitar’s technical condition was inspected in our workshop and is also in very good shape: excellent string action, comfortable playability, and a perfect neck angle. The frets show minor signs of wear in the lower registers, but the guitar is perfectly playable as is and does not need to be refretted or leveled.

If you want absolutely perfect frets with no signs of wear, we can professionally level them in our workshop as needed.

The guitar’s original case is in very good condition and comes with certificates included.

The guitar manufacturer Collings was founded in 1973 by Bill Collings in Austin Texas. What began with individual instruments, which were only built to order, quickly developed into a well-known name in the music scene. Western guitars from Collings are characterized by their dynamics, an extremely open sound and great workmanship.
