Compared to Koaloha&#8217;s high-gloss lacquered ukuleles, the KTM-10 MG sounds somewhat warmer and softer. <\/p>\n<p>The story of Koaloha begins in 1995, when Alvin Okami founded the manufactory with the help of his family on the island of Hawaii. Legend has it that he was asked by the owners of a souvenir store to make small ukulele miniatures, which later gave rise to the idea of building the first \u201creal\u201d instruments.  Everything is handcrafted using the highest quality woods such as the famous Hawaiian koa.<\/p>\n<p>To this day, Koaloha is a Hawaiian family business that has become one of the best-known names in the world when it comes to high-quality, solidly built ukuleles.<\/p>\n<p>The construction of Koaloha ukuleles has some special features that differ from the \u201cconventional\u201d construction of other manufacturers: Tops and backs, for example, are glued directly onto the sides.
