Each Essential OM has a North American Sitka spruce top and PreWar scalloped bracing. Mahogany back and sides are complemented by a light mahogany neck with ebony fingerboard.<\/p>\n<p>The OM, or &#8220;Orchestra Model&#8221;, combines a full scale with a slightly smaller body &#8211; it is narrower and flatter than a dreadnought. The challenge when building an OM is often to deliver a rich, powerful sound and beautiful bass and mids despite the smaller, more ergonomic body. This is ensured by the scalloped bracing and the thermally treated Sitka spruce top on this Atkin.<\/p>\n<p>This time we ordered this OM in Heavy Aged &#8220;Argentine Grey&#8221; and Atkin has once again delivered 100%.
