Jellinghaus instruments are the work of the well-known guitar maker Edmund Blöchinger and the tonewood expert Wolfgang Jellinghaus. Historically important and legendary instruments, such as those made by the famous 18th century guitar maker Antonio de Torres, are carefully examined using the few surviving originals and detailed construction plans are drawn up. Based on this data, the highest quality fully solid and hand-built instruments are then constructed, which are visually and tonally modeled on the originals. Jellinghaus instruments are made by experienced master luthiers in China.
The Torres 43 is modeled on an original instrument built by the legendary guitar maker Antonio de Torres in 1883. Antonio de Torres is still considered one of the most influential guitar makers of all time. In order to build this guitar, the original instrument was closely examined and then built using the most detailed construction plans. The Torres 43 with a German spruce top and maple back and sides has a very clear and present sound and is very pleasant to play. This instrument is also visually impressive with a great finish, high-quality tuners and elaborate optical details on the rosette, sides and bridge. High-quality hard case included.
