Until recently this "José Lopez Bellido" was a normal 6-string guitar, for many years!
However, its owner wanted a 7th lower string added. In order not to have to build a completely new neck, we loosened the old fingerboard.
The next step was to make a new, slightly wider fingerboard. The special thing about the fingerboard is its fanned frets.
This results in a scale of 67 cm for the deep strings and 66 cm for the high strings.
This gives the 7th string more tension and makes it sound much more dynamic and full.
A principle that existed centuries ago. You get used to the "slopes" amazingly quickly when playing!
