Antique Varnish instruments from Eastman are varnished using a special and very elaborate technique that originated in violin making: Thin layers of varnish are applied layer by layer by hand. The result is a protective but very thin layer of varnish, which has a positive effect on the vibration behavior of the instruments. Finally, the Antique Varnish instruments from Eastman are then finished by hand in an extremely tasteful manner.
