The Alemana EF is a spectacular-sounding and masterfully crafted instrument from Jellinghaus. The top consists of a naturally solid cedar and spruce doubletop construction, whereby both layers are joined with an extremely fine honeycomb construction. The back and sides are made of beautiful Madagascar rosewood, all finished with a glossy shellac varnish. Certainly one of the best concert guitars in our current range.
Jellinghaus instruments are the work of the well-known guitar maker Edmund Blöchinger and the tonewood expert Wolfgang Jellinghaus. Historically important and legendary instruments, such as those made by the famous 18th century guitar maker Antonio de Torres, are carefully examined using the few surviving originals and detailed construction plans are drawn up. Based on this data, the highest quality fully solid and hand-built instruments are then constructed, which are visually and tonally modeled on the originals. Jellinghaus instruments are made by experienced master luthiers in China.
