Tony Rice and his modified old Martin Dreadnought are still legendary today. So legendary that the Czech luxury manufacturer Rozawood Guitars set itself the task of developing a worthy replica and homage to Tony Rice’s legendary instrument. And they have succeeded. This D-28 TR-S with torrified Alpine spruce and beautiful Santos rosewood is an absolute bluegrass and picking machine. Powerful, assertive and at the same time clear and round. The back of the guitar neck has been given a light aging, which makes the guitar feel like an old and well-rehearsed guitar.
The guitar was built in 2022 and comes from a private collection. The instrument is in excellent as-new condition, original case and certificates from Rozawood are of course included.
Rozawood Guitars was founded by master luthier Roman Zajíček in the Czech Republic and is known for handcrafted, top-quality instruments. As early as 1979, before the fall of the Iron Curtain, Roman built his first instruments based on instructions sent to him by his uncle in the USA. After the fall of the Iron Curtain, he finally began officially building guitars, and the Rozawood Workshop was born.
