Just 92 of these super limited and extremely rare collector’s versions of the legendary Martin HD-28 were built between 1987 and 1999. The “B” here stands for “Brazilian Rosewood” and describes another special feature of this dreadnought. The back and sides are made from the finest and incredibly rare Brazilian rosewood. Of course, the necessary Cites papers are available and included!
The other special feature of this guitar, apart from the Riopa rosewood and the small number of pieces, is that it is a so-called “Signature Edition”. The “SE” in its name also stands for this. This means that the underside of the Top has been signed by all Martin employees involved in this project and by C.F Martin IV himself.
This fantastic special model is also mentioned and described in Martin’s exclusive chronicle “The Martin Book”.
And as if all this wasn’t tempting enough, this HD-28 is also a top-class guitar in terms of both looks and sound. Visually a real feast for the eyes with a great sitka spruce top, back and sides made of fine and rare Brazilian rosewood, herringbone, zig-zag backstrip, abalone snowflake inlays, Martin closed back tuners with buttons made of fine ebony, nitro lacquer finish and in absolute top condition.
The sound of this dreadnought is just as spectacular, with plenty of power and assertiveness, wonderful mids and powerful basses, without losing any of its clarity.
Technically, this Martin is in perfect condition and has been professionally adjusted, restringed and checked in our own workshop.
The original Martin case is of course included.
If you’re looking for a truly outstanding Martin Dreadnought, a genuine and very rare collector’s item and a piece of Martin history, you’ve come to the right place!
