This impressive instrument from Jellinghaus is inspired by the romantic guitars of the 19th century, especially the instruments of the French luthier René Lacôte. Once again, the small manufactory has managed to create a wonderful interpretation of famous and historically important instruments.
The guitar is pleasantly light and feels great in the hand thanks to the smaller body. The slightly shorter scale length of 630mm provides additional playing comfort. A combination of European spruce, maple and lightweight construction ensures a great response and a beautiful and balanced tone.
The instrument is in very good, technically perfect and played condition. There are traces of use and small scratches, which are inevitable with a played shellac guitar. The equally beautiful original case is included.
As usual, the guitar was professionally adjusted, checked and restringed in our workshop.
Jellinghaus instruments are the work of the well-known guitar maker Edmund Blöchinger and the tonewood expert Wolfgang Jellinghaus. Historically important and legendary instruments, such as those made by the famous 18th century guitar maker Antonio de Torres, are carefully examined using the few surviving originals and detailed construction plans are drawn up. Based on this data, the highest quality fully solid and hand-built instruments are then constructed, which are visually and tonally modeled on the originals. Jellinghaus instruments are made by experienced master luthiers in China. The Jellinghaus / Pepe Romero instruments are the result of a collaboration between Jellinghaus and Pepe Romero Jr.
