One of the classics and top models from the Dieter Hopf Guitar Studio, which has been an integral part of the Hopf product range for 35 years.

The “La Portentosa” has been available in various wood versions over the years. This 1994 model is a very special and extremely rare version with a solid cedar top and back & sides made from the rarest and most beautifully grained Brazilian Rosewood. The necessary Cites certificates for this wood are of course available and included.

Despite its age, the guitar is in excellent condition and sounds fantastic. Lots of warmth, great mids and basses, balanced at the same time, nice brilliance and volume. The usual small scratches and signs of use are present, but very few.

The instrument was completely checked in our workshop and is in perfect condition: pleasant string action, good neck angle, great playability. The following work was carried out professionally on the guitar:

  • 2 very small cracks in the Top were professionally secured and retouched as best as possible
  • String change and complete setup

An excellent Classical Guitar and a great opportunity, especially when you consider that the Portentosa is no longer available at all with Brazilian Rosewood.
