Markus Gahlen’s first contact with the guitar was prenatal in 1963 – the year he was born: His mother, an ambitious amateur guitarist, used her pregnancy to play the guitar extensively.
So it is not surprising that Markus and the guitar found each other once and for all in 1970; a side relationship with the clarinet for several years during his childhood and later a brief flirtation with the saxophone were unable to challenge the guitar’s supremacy.

From 1989 Markus studied jazz at the Folkwang-Hochschule.

In addition to his own production studio, Markus has played in musicals and as an accompanying musician for Howard Carpendale, among others.

Markus plays an OOO and an OM model with cutaway from Stevens.
