The DF model from Iris Guitars is a solid-body slopeshoulder dreadnought inspired by the legendary guitars of the “Depression Era” of the 1930s in the USA. We ordered this model once again as a custom order from IRIS: Iced Tea Burst Custom Relic, Sinker Salmon Sitka Spruce Top, Body made of fine mahogany, dream guitar!
The manufacturer IRIS Guitars from Burlington, Vermont USA was founded in 2018 by experienced guitar makers Adam Buchwald and Dale Fairbanks and has since quickly made a name for itself with high-quality hand-built acoustic guitars. The philosophy of IRIS Guitars is to combine modern guitar building techniques with vintage tone, handling and looks. They have achieved this in a masterful way. Custom options and tastefully finished “Relic” or “Aging” are also optionally available.
