The 17A with its spectacularly grained grenadilla body is a great, light and very resonant Classical Guitar from Jellinghaus / La Canada. The narrower 49mm nut and the slightly shorter 630mm scale length make it very comfortable to play, even for players with slightly smaller hands.
La Canada / Jellinghaus instruments are the work of the renowned guitar maker Edmund Blöchinger and the tonewood expert Wolfgang Jellinghaus.
Historically important and legendary instruments, such as those of the famous 18th-century guitar maker Antonio de Torres, are meticulously examined using the few remaining originals, and detailed construction plans are created. Based on this data, the highest-quality, all-solid, handcrafted instruments are then built, replicating the originals both visually and sonically.
La Canada: Instruments in this series are based in detail on famous, still existing instruments by old Spanish masters.
